Swimming

Last week, we invited Kelli, Dylan, and Jacob over to come swimming with us.
We got Mason a new swimsuit and after about 6 tries to get him to stand still, this is the best picture there was...oh well.
Laying out in the sun...so cute!
Mason started some swimming lessons this summer so he is learning how to put his head in the water and blow bubbles... He likes to jump in!
Jacob, Mason, and Dylan
After swimming we came back and made lunch at our house...I made the kids eat on the kitchen floor :)

Chalk & Popsicles

We have spent a lot of time playing outside.
Mason has decided that he really likes to color with chalk.
Mostly he likes to tell you what to draw with the chalk.
His usual requests are a bus, bugs, or dinosaurs.

So I gave Mason a popsicle one day while he was drawing
and he just looks so cute eating them.

Bowling

Kelli and Dylan invited us to go bowling with them. I thought Mason would enjoy it so we tagged along.

Mason and Dylan
Here is Mason getting ready to go!
They have these little ramp things where the kids can slide the balls down.
Mason thought it was pretty cool to push the ball down the ramp.
Waiting for the ball to come back...
After about 5 frames, Mason was way more interested in his snack than bowling...
I'm not suprised.

Park

A couple of weeks ago, Mason and I went to the park
with Kelli and Dylan. It was perfect...not too hot yet
and not too crowded. We were basically the only people at the park which was really nice since Mason likes to run all over the place.

Mason was super excited to chase the pigeons. He ran after them forever.
He would get soo close and then they would fly away again and he would get close again.
Every time the pigeons flew away he would just giggle
and chase them again.
The park had a little car that the boys loved, of course.
They looked so cute in their little sunglasses and hats.
He went on little slides...
And big slides!
Of course the boys had to have a snack at the park.
After the park we took the boys to Wendys for some chicken nuggets
and some Frostys. Thanks to Kelli and Dylan for spending the day
with us!

Pump-it-Up

Mason got invited to his friend Kinzee's birthday party.
They had it at Pump-it-Up, which is full of huge bouncy slides and
obstacle courses.
Brad took Mason down the slide first...

He wasn't too excited about it...
Then he watched all the bigger kids having fun and decided that
he did like it after all...and we couldn't keep him off of it.
He really liked the bouncy basketball court
And he really loved the cupcake of course!

Mr. Fix-it

A few weeks ago, I was vacuuming and the vacuum exploded...
Ok, maybe not really exploded but it popped and then started smoking...
It smelled sooo bad! Poor Mason was running around crying
and plugging his nose until he finally ended up hiding in the corner
with his hands covering his face...
Anyways, I thought maybe it needed a new filter and a new rubber cord thingy,
so Brad and Mason went to work to try to fix it.

Mason was a big helper with the screwdriver
He insisted on being right next to Brad
Unfortunately, all of their hard work did not pay off and the vacuum still wouldn't work and we had to invest in a new vacuum.

Mason is really starting to talk a lot now. One of my favorite things to ask him is "Who is that?", while I am pointing at Brad.
Mason always answers, "That's A dad." Not MY dad, just A dad.
It makes us laugh every time. He also insists on telling us every time he toots or poops. He pats his bum and says "I stink."
He is a little stinker :)

Mason's Mean Face

Mason has recently started to make this face
when you do something that he doesn't like...
Here he was mad because I told him he was a messy boy :)

I catch him practicing his mean face
in the mirror all the time..so funny!
