A little troublemaker...

One afternoon I was studying for a test and wasn't paying as much attention to Mason as he needed. First he opened the oven and kept using it to climb on...he was pretty proud of himself.

Later that day I was cooking dinner and noticed that it got really quiet. I started looking for Mason and this is what I found... He had found a box of powdered sugar in the cupboard and was able to get it open! I don't know how. I found him and he was just sitting there dipping his finger and then licking it. He offered me some from his finger...
"What did I do, mom?"
Then he saw the camera and started saying "cheese"
I learned my lesson that he cannot even play by himself for 5 minutes without causing some sort of trouble... too bad I had to learn it through a pile of powdered sugar!

I have 3 more weeks of this semester and then I will be halfway done with the nursing program. I think Mason will be glad when I am done for the summer so that he can have a little more attention. I will have to do some fun things with him this summer.

TRAMPOLINE

The Lyman's got a trampoline for their backyard for Christmas. Every time I tried to put Mason on it, he would cry and freak out. On Easter, Mason went over to the trampoline and asked to be put on it. This was the first time that he jumped around on there.

He thought it was so exciting!

After a little while, his hair started to look like this...

It has been so fun to watch Mason get bigger and get interested in things. He is very opinionated but usually once he has tried something, he ends up liking it.

Easter

My family came to town for Easter this year, but they had to leave Sunday morning to drive back to Idaho so we Gave Mason his Easter basket from us on Saturday morning. We hid a few eggs for him. He was really excited when he saw that some had pennies for him to put in his bank. He was really excited about the jelly beans too.
After he found the eggs, he got an Easter basket full of some new cars, pajamas, a coloring book, some books, toy airplanes, and a new outfit.

Obviously he liked the cars and airplanes the most.

On Easter Sunday he went to the Lyman's. Grandma Lyman first had all the kids sit in a circle and she told them the Easter story. She even had handouts for all the kids to hold up when she got to that part of the story. The Easter bunny hid some eggs in her backyard so the kids took off running. Mason was only slightly interested in this egg hunt. He leisurely strolled along. The Easter bunny had put some dollar bills in some eggs but when Mason would find an egg he would shake it, and if it didn't make noise he would put it back...Silly kid.
He also got distracted by any toys along the way...

Luckily for Mason, Grandma tells each grandkid that they can find 10 eggs, so Mason still ended up with plenty of eggs.
Later that night he went to the Fabbi's Easter celebration. It was only Mason and Jensyn out of the great-grandkids this year. Grandpa got bunny ears for the turtle and the dogs.
Mason thought the dog was really funny but he was scared of the turtle...Again, I don't know where this kid comes from...A turtle=slow and quiet...Dog=loud and jumpy...but whatever floats your boat, little Mason.
He had to spend some time at the fish pond of course. Everytime we go to the Fabbi's, Mason runs right outside to the pond.
Playing with the dogs
There was another egg hunt. Mason got a little more excited about this one. He still shook the eggs but he was a little faster about running around and collecting them.

He is just so cute. We had a lot of fun at the Fabbi's this year. Hopefully next year some more cousins will be able to be there and join us.

Coloring Easter Eggs

The day before Easter we colored some eggs. Cami picked out a glitter dye set and it came with little bags to tie-dye the eggs in. Mason needed a little help with his first one...
Then he decided that it was fun and he could do it by himself.

After a little while though, he realized that these eggs were food, so he decided to try to eat the egg, plastic bag and all.

I don't know what it is with Mason and food, but he is very protective about his food and does not like to see anything go to waste. He had fun coloring eggs with Cami!
