Just too cute!

Here are a couple of pictures of Mason dressed up and ready for church. This is what his hair looks like right after I do it. It stays neat for about 5 minutes...haha
He just has a cute little smile in this picture.

My big boy

First Haircut

As you all know, I am very attached to Mason's long curls. I absolutely love them and think they are adorable. However, it was getting to the point where I had to use conditioner on his hair because it was too long. And then, on our airplane ride to Idaho, someone called him a she. So, we decided that it was time for the curls to be tamed...My dad made an appointment with the girl that does his hair and in we went.

Mason didn't like the spray bottle...

Once the spray stopped, he didn't mind sitting there. Plus he got a sucker so that definitely helped!
Look how long that hair is!
His little tongue is all over that sucker!

So, when all was said and done, Mason's hair is now shorter but I can't say that it is any more manageable. In fact, I think it is worse because now the top of his head is curlier than it used to be. I still can't comb it and make it look neat. However, I do think it makes him look a little older and wiser with his short hair.
I'll miss you, my blonde curls!

SNOW!!!

When we were in Idaho, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see how Mason would react to the snow...So we got bundled up and headed outside. First, he got really mad that I tied bags around his feet but once he figured out we were going outside, he cheered up. He even looks a little excited in this first picture...
Then he saw the snow and wasn't so sure anymore. He thought he would just stand back and take a look...
Then he walked back through the snow and he was ok with it until he touched it. Then he got pretty mad that he couldn't get it off of his hands...
Once he got his hands clean, he then decided to sit down in the snow. He ended up not liking that too much either...I wonder why??

Fun with Grandpa

While we were in Idaho. Mason was able to spend a lot of fun time with Grandpa. He got to drive the car...
and drive some more...
Mason was so excited to play with Grandpa. He even took a special trip to Sportsman's Warehouse with Daddy and Grandpa where they let him "be a boy." He got his first bloody nose at the store. Brad was thoughtful enough to take pictures of blood smeared all over his face, but I will spare you all the gore and not post them.

Mason was excited to see Grandpa at the baggage claim at the airport.
(Pay attention to those long, blonde, beautiful curls...)

Airplane Ride

This past Thursday we flew up to Idaho for the weekend. We weren't sure how Mason would do on the airplane because he gets pretty antsy when he has to sit on someone's lap. but he did really good. We hadn't thought about how big the airport was, so it was quite the adventure to carry Mason and all our bags through security.
Mason was excited to ride the "choo-choo" (tram).
We got to our assigned gate and then they announced that our gate had been changed to one at the complete opposite end. So we carry Mason and the bags all the way over there and sit there for another hour only to find out that it was moved back to the original gate! So fun. We had some time before we boarded, so Mason entertained himself by watching the big trucks and airplanes out of the window...
and by playing with every book and toy we had with us...
Then he waited for takeoff by eating some snacks...
And finally, he got to watch his video!
Mason was so excited to see Grandpa at the baggage claim!
(Brad took the pictures on the plane...that's why they look so good :)

Breakfast for Dinner

Last week we decided we better spend a relaxing day at home in our pajamas before we all got started back to school and work. Mason loves to stay in his pj's. So for dinner we made waffles.
Mason loved his even though I only put butter on his.

He is just too cute!

Hot Sauce Boy

A few weeks ago we went to Macayos. Mason absolutely loves the hot sauce there and he insists on having his own bowl to dip in. He not only dips the chips but he will dip his french fries and chicken fingers in the salsa too. He made a mess but he loved it!
Look at that dipping face and those dipping hands!
