Mason wasn't too sure about the baby when he first got to the hospital. But luckily, baby sister brought Mason a present and then he warmed right up to her. He had to show her his new helicopter and cars.
Then he had to check out her little toes

So cute and little in her carseat.

Little Morgan was a much better labor and delivery experience than Mason. We went to the hospital at 4:00 am. I got an epidural about 10:00. After the epidural things progressed quickly. We barely got the Dr. there in time. He is in my grandparents ward and we gave him just enough time to teach his Elder's Quorum lesson before we called him to come deliver. He walked in the door and 5 minutes later, little Morgan was born. The poor Dr. didn't even get a chance to change out of his church clothes :) We are grateful for her quick and easy delivery and that she is here healthy and strong. We were able to come home Monday afternoon. She has been a very calm baby and a good sleeper. We just love her to pieces!

Fish Lake 2011

Brad and Mason were able to go to Fish Lake for the Robison family reunion this year. Since I was only 2 weeks away from my due date and had been having contractions, my doctor said "no way" to a trip up into the mountains. I missed my boys but I think they had a lot of fun.
When they got to Fish Lake, it had been raining and there was a double rainbow. Brad thought the double rainbow was pretty cool. (out of all the pictures he brought home of the trip, almost half of them were of the rainbow, haha). Mason likes rainbows and he told me that he saw one when he called that night.

Brad also took Mason on a drive to go look for some deer. Brad said that they saw one about 20 feet off the road so he pulled over and rolled down the window so Mason could look at it. Brad said Mason yelled out the window "Hi deer! Why you so fat?" Apparently they had seen a dead one on the side of the road earlier whose stomach was all swollen up.
Mason and Taryn were buddies and played together a lot.
Brad took Mason out on the boat with them one morning when they guys went out fishing. I asked Mason how he liked fishing and his reply was "I be shy. I play Angry Birds in my hideout." Good thing Brad took some of Mason's blankets on the boat and was able to build him a little fort to play in. If you look close in the picture you can see his Ipod in his hands. Silly kid. What would he do without his ipod???
Brad got him away from the ipod to fish for at least a little while.

I don't think Mason liked being forced to join in the kid activities. He has a face like this one in every picture or video of the activities.
Mason did enjoy playing outside in the dirt though.

Brad said Mason's favorite thing to do was the throw rocks in the "pond" and all he heard every day was "Daddy, lets go throw rocks in the pond."

4th of July

The 4th of July was really fun this year. We started out the day with swimming and a BBQ with the Kennedy's at the Lee's house. Mason had a blast playing with his cousins Zach, Kennedy, and Jacob. He loved to ride the little bike and was so excited to have a Capri Sun...

Mason had some fun in the pool...

He loved their pool since it was a walk-in type and there weren't any stairs. He kept calling it a big ocean :)
We had to take a family picture of course, even if it is too bright. Oh well.
Then it was time to do some little fireworks for the kids...As soon as one kids threw a little popper, Mason ran inside, haha.
He slowly got a little closer to the outside. He started in the kitchen, and then decided that he could watch through a crack in the door...

Then he made it right in the doorway and then finally right outside the doorway...
And then finally when all the fireworks were over except some snakes, Mason decided that he could get even closer...
Silly boy...he usually isn't scared of much...
Mason loves little Abby and always stops to tickler her toes or pinch her nose or rub her ears...just like his daddy...

After the Kennedy's we went over to the Lyman's for some more fireworks. Their neighbors had the big illegal ones, and as soon as Mason heard one he ran inside, haha. We finally convinced him to come outside and luckily Aunt Monique had brought ear plugs. Once Mason had those in, he was perfectly fine to be outside. He didn't want to hold any sparklers but he liked it when Brad held them.
This is the face Mason would make when the fireworks were too bright...too cute...

We had a super fun day and loved spending time with all our family!

It's Official!!

I am officially a RN! Whoo-hoo!
I already had my NCLEX test scheduled before I was in the hospital and wasn't sure if I should reschedule it or not. I finally decided that it would be better to just get it over with, so I went and took it...When the computer shut off after 75 questions, I had a mini panic attack...It was a long 2 days to wait for my results but when I opened the webpage and saw the words "PASS," I was thrilled. I am so excited to start looking for jobs in a few months :)

A series of unfortunate events...

Well, the month of July has been exciting for us, to say the least. We ended up June with me having to stay in the hospital for 3 days. We went in to the ER due to some pain and muscle spams in my arm that wouldn't stop. I then started contracting pretty regularly and was already dilated to a 2 and since I was only 34 weeks, they admitted me to monitor and stop the contractions. Luckily, Mason was able to spend some time with Aunt Kelli and Dylan and also with Aunt Jamie and Uncle Drew and their kids. Mason was a trooper but he was pretty attached to me for those first couple days that I was home. He came and visited me at the hospital and as soon as he walked into the room, he started looking around and asking where baby sister was. Since I was put on limited activity/bedrest, Rachel flew into town to help with Mason. He has loved having his "Rachey" here to play with him and it has been so nice to have some help.
A couple days later we come downstairs to find our refrigerator with the power off and everything spoiled inside. So fun. It was the 4th of July so we called the emergency maintenance line but apparently it didn't qualify as an emergency because no one called us back so we went without a fridge for 2 days until a maintenance man was able to come out.
The next day our internet/modem stopped working and that was just another hassle to deal with...
Then we get a letter in the mail stating that since our car insurance had lapsed we had a fine...Come to find out that when we switched car insurance companies a couple months ago, the old company canceled our policy 2 weeks early so the records showed that we didn't have coverage for 2 weeks when we actually did. So we have spent tons of time on the phone trying to get things worked out between all the insurance agents...Needless to say, I am ready for things to slow down and stop breaking because I don't need any additional stress at 37 weeks pregnant :). But we are glad that I have made it this far in the pregnancy and the baby will be considered full term when she is born now.

A look at our Summer so far....

We have kept pretty busy so far this summer. We had Uncle Brian come visit for a couple days. We went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Mason loves kung fu fighting so he was pretty excited about it.

I think he was even more excited to stuff his face with popcorn...Just look at how much he has in those cheeks! :)
After the movie we walked by a Cars 2 display and Mason had to go check it out, of course.
A couple of weeks later we had Kristin and Rachel fly in for a day before they went to New York and then fly back for a day after their trip. Mason talked them into going to the park to play.

Even with all the playgrounds and slides, Mason is still the happiest just digging in the dirt.
Mason was also able to check out a slip n slide. He thought it was pretty cool and liked to sit in the puddle of water at the end.
Mason wasn't too sure about running on the slip n slide part but he was just as excited to run on the grass next to it, haha.

I was lucky enough to have a little baby shower thrown by my sister-in-law Jamie. She did such a good job. Here is a picture of a little tricycle made out of diapers.
Jamie made little party favors for everyone. Mason, Taryn, and Dylan got to enjoy one after the shower was over.
Mason just loves Taryn to death. Those 2 little rascals play so good together and will take on all the bigger kids, haha.
