Rice Cereal

After about a month of trying to feed Morgan cereal, she has finally decided she likes it. At first she would gag and choke and make a face like we were giving her something awful. It was quite dramatic. Finally the past few days she has decided that it is yummy and gets really impatient when I can't feed her fast enough.

Quick Pics

Grandma Lyman got the kids some new games for their little computers for Christmas. Mason has had a ton of fun playing with it and he even will share with Morgan. She likes to listen to the stories.

One Saturday we went grocery shopping. Mason was sitting in the back of the cart and fell asleep sitting in the groceries. He stayed asleep as we unloaded all the groceries around him and then loaded them in again around him.

Two cute squishy kids in the tub
Mason has been obsessed with learning about bones lately. He will tell you all about his phalanges, his radius, ulna, ribs, femur, etc. One day at the mall he saw this sign with the skeleton and took off running across the courtyard to show us the skeleton. Way too cool!

Fun with cousins

Mona Kay and Spencer drove to Vegas the day after Christmas. We were lucky to be able to see them for a couple of hours.
Here is Morgan and Laurel...best buds already
Mason always has a blast playing with Gavin, Caleb, and Saige...especially since Papa Fabbi has toy guns :)

Bowling

December 26 is Teagan's birthday. Teagan had a bowling birthday party this year and we were lucky to be in town for the big day. All the cousins always have so much fun together and I think they all had fun bowling.

Mason picked out the 8 lb ball and wouldn't use anything else...he could hardly carry it.

 The birthday boy

Dylan is a baby lover and could not get enough of holding Morgan while we were there. Luckily, she loves him too and didn't mind being held.
We tried to get a picture of Maizey and Morgan...didn't work so well
We finally decided to take one with the mom's in it, worked out much better :)

Happy Birthday Teagan! Thanks for inviting us to your bowling party!

Christmas

We decided to go to Las Vegas for Christmas this year. Brad and I both worked on the 23rd, so Brad and the kids picked me up from the hospital and we left about 8:00 that night. The drive was pretty good, Morgan slept the whole time. Mason woke up about midnight and just chatted away for about 2 hours until we stopped in Cedar City. After a few hours of sleep, we got up and had a yummy breakfast at the Market Grill. We were planning on stopping in Logandale to visit Brad's grandma, but we got a phone call that she went in to the ER at the hospital in Mesquite. Luckily she was fine and we were able to stop and visit her in the hospital. We got to Las Vegas about 12:00 on Christmas Eve. We spent a few hours at the Lyman's and then went to the Fabbi's.
Kelli and Dylan were nice enough to let up sleep in Dylan's room. Kelli slept on the couch, which was lucky for us, since Mason woke up on Christmas morning and started wandering around the living room. I don't think he realized there were presents out, I think he was looking for Dylan. Thankfully, Kelli gave us a heads up that Mason was awake.
Here are the little cuties before present time.
 The stockings and Santa presents...
 Morgan and her stocking.

Mason had a lot of fun opening presents. He had been asking for robots since his birthday. I searched and searched and finally found these little remote controlled ones on Amazon. They were perfect.
Morgan got a new blanket, a book, an owl toy, and lots of new clothes

Mason's big present was a bike from Santa. He had been talking about one for so long and then I think he was a little unsure about it when he first saw it. it didn't take him too long to start cruising around on it.
Here he is again in his snowboots that he insisted on wearing in Las Vegas
After presents, we got the kids ready for church. Morgan was too tired to stay awake for pictures.

practically impossible to get a good picture of the two of them together...
After church all the grandkids came over for some more presents!
It was a little chaotic but all the kids had fun and got spoiled of course.

Grandma Lyman got a basketball arcade game from Santa. Everyone loved it, but I think maybe us adults had a little more fun on it than the kids :)

Later that night we went over to the Kennedy's for Christmas dinner. Again, it was so nice to see everyone and let the cousins play together

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to the Fabbi's house. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up a bit. It was a small crowd this year...there were only 5 great grandkids there, so it was a little quieter than years past. I was awful at taking pictures but we started out with the traditional pizza and salad dinner. Then we sang some Christmas carols and read the Christmas story. Then it was time for presents. Mason got a new monster truck and Morgan got a cute little outfit.
I had been talking to Mason earlier that day about leaving some cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer. Mason was not into that idea and insisted that Santa wanted chicken with barbeque sauce and Mt Dew and that the reindeer wanted tacos. Luckily, Mason fell asleep on the way home from the Fabbi's and we didn't have to leave anything out for Santa :)

Christmas in Idaho

Since we went to Las Vegas for Christmas day, we celebrated Christmas a couple days early in Idaho with my family. Mason and Morgan got completely spoiled of course but they had a blast.
Mason got some new animal planet sharks and whales

Morgan got lots of new clothes and a piggy bank to go in her room

Mason understood the concept of Christmas a little better this year and insisted on buying a present for Jenny. He picked her out some treats and a squeaky ball and couldn't wait to give it to her.
