FINALLY!! The day has come where I am finished with school. The nursing department had a pinning ceremony just for the nursing graduates on May 20. It was at Cashman Center and there were about 90 graduates. The ceremony was really nice with a slide show, a couple good speakers, and of course, the pinning and the nurses pledge.
My parents were able to drive down from Idaho. Unfortunately, it the was the same day that Rachel and Cami had finals so they had to stay home.
This picture is really small, but I thought it was too cute. When the graduates get their pins, they are able to choose family members or someone to come on stage and "pin them," so I had Brad and Mason do it. Mason thought it was pretty cool to be up on the stage and he put the ribbon with the pin on it around my neck and gave me a little kiss. It was adorable. Mason also got a sticker that said "Pinner" on it, so that the ushers would know who to bring up on the stage. He was so proud of that sticker and wore it the rest of the night.
After the ceremony, I met everyone in the lobby. The first thing Mason said to me was, "That was so fun, mom. Can we see that show again?" Silly boy!
Then we went and got some ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy.
On May 23, it was the whole school graduation. I debated about going to this ceremony or not, but I told Kelli that if she went, then I would too.
Mason thought this one was pretty fun too, especially since he got some balloons that fell from the ceiling. I think he was a little disappointed when he first got to the Thomas & Mack and it wasn't a Rebel game going on. Mason rode to the Thomas & Mack with Dave and Leesa, and Leesa said that when they pulled into the parking lot that Mason just started chanting "Rebels! Rebels!"
From where I was sitting on the floor, I had a good view of Mason, Brad, and the Lymans in the stands. Mason and Dylan kept waving and were dancing to the music. I think they did pretty well for a long ceremony.
