Lizards

Grandma Lyman has lizards in her backyard that come out when it is dark. The kids like to go watch them run around the walls. Since Brad still thinks he is a kid, he chases the lizards with them. Brad decided to catch one so Mason and Dylan could see it up close.

Mason was really excited to hold it
I love this picture of Brad helping him hold it
Dylan took a little more convincing, but once he held it, he liked it too.

A little trip to Idaho

The Monday following Morgan's blessing, I drove up to Idaho with Mason and Morgan with my family. We took along Mason's little potty since he was still unsure about the big one. I wish I had a picture of him sitting on it on the side of the freeway but i didn't get my camera out in time, so here he is in a parking lot. :)
The kids did so good on the drive and Mason was ready to run around my parent's big yard when we got there. He really loved digging in the dirt with Grandpa.
 Morgan spent some time relaxing.
One day Mason got to play at the park.
Grandma took Mason to see some airplanes. He got to sit in the cockpit and "fly" the plane. The wings actually moved when he turned the wheel, or whatever it is called in a plane.

We had to take a trip to the dairy and see all the animals. Of course we had to get some fresh ice cream and cheese curds.

Mason had to spend a little time cleaning the window after he threw dirt at it.

We bought some fresh picked corn on the cob.
A trip to the Greenbelt to feed the ducks and see the waterfall

Morgan's Newborn Photos

When Morgan was one week old, I had my aunt do some newborn photos of her. She is amazing at shooting newborns and I always love everything she does. Here are a few of my favorites. I love how little and squishable she looks. Newborns are so precious. Looking back at these pictures now, it makes me so sad to see how much she has grown already.

Mason and his collections

Mason has recently had an obsession with making "collections" of things. He will line up all his toy cars or dinosaurs, etc and call it his collection. However, he doesn't completely understand what a collection is. Some of my favorite "collections" of his are pretty funny.
- One day we were driving in the car and he holds up his right hand and says "mom, this is my right hand. This is my left hand. This is my left foot. This is my right foot. That's my collection, mom."
- In the bathroom he unrolled the toilet paper and when I walked in there, he points to this big pile of toilet paper and says, "Look at my collection, mom."
- Mason will walk around with handfuls of little bits of paper and call it his trash collection.
- OK, this collection is the grossest of all. We have been finding some little carpet beetles around our house and had it sprayed so we were finding them dead all over the place. One day I was walking up the stairs behind Mason and he saw a little dead bug on the stairs. He picked it up, walked up the stairs, went to a corner of the baseboard and pulled off the piece of wood and dropped the bug in there. I followed him and he points in there and there is about 30 little bugs and he goes "This is my bug collection."I was so disgusted but kinda thought it was funny that he had been collecting them behind the baseboard without us noticing.

Morgan's Blessing

On September 4th, we were able to have Morgan's baby blessing. It was a wonderful day and we had lots of family that was able to share the day with us.

I had a hard time finding a blessing dress but finally found one that I really liked.

The shoes might be my favorite part

Ahoy Matey!

Last Saturday we had a little birthday party for Mason. He has been a little obsessed with pirates lately so I thought that would be a fun theme to go with.

We made his invitations...

We made a welcome sign for our door...

The cute family before the party...

Tables with chocolate gold doubloons, rock candy diamonds, root beer barrels, and swedish fish, bottles, and sea shells...
Kristin made clues for a treasure hunt

The treasure...little bags with a telescope, eye patch, gold doubloons, and pirate stickers
The food table
The kids made pictures with pirate stickers
Pin the treasure on the treasure map

The kids found their treasure bags
Present time
Then we did singing and cupcakes...I should have learned my lesson from singing at the Lyman's house on his birthday...but we tried again...and he burst into tears...
and then came and hid his face...
Eventually he got over it and decided to eat his cupcake.
We had a fun time and thanks to all our family and friends who came to celebrate with us!
